The energy
All three comissioned tasks are related to the notion of energy. Students get the input of the different types of energy by an interactive presentation and a work-in-pairs task where each member has to argue how to classify each picture in the correct type of energy.

The story of a pirate is the guiding thread so that students could learn the energy transformations.

Finally, a card game is proposed for the purpose of strengthening ther new understanding.
The energy life of Alí, the pirate
Hi, It’s Alí, the Captain of the Gerbertus, the fastest clipper ship in all the Mediterranean Sea. I spend all my lifetime aboard the Gerbertus along with my crew. We earn our living attacking wealthy ships in order to steal valuable items or properties. Furthermore, I dream of finding a hidden treasure in a remote island...someday.
